All Creatures Veterinary Hospital is a full-service facility.  We provide excellent primary care for dogs and cats, and we acknowledge when our patients might be better served by a specialist.  

Lab work that can be done accurately and economically in our own facility is done here.  This includes commonly performed blood chemistries, urinalysis and blood counts. Less common lab tests and chemistry panels that can be done more efficiently by hundred thousand dollar computers, are sent to Antech Diagnostic Lab via Fedex Express.  We ordinarily get results by the next day. 

We use a surgery table and surgical fixtures similar to what you would find in a human hospital.  We have a generator ready for  power outages.  There is one isoflurane anesthetic machine in the treatment room where patients are prepared for surgery and another in the surgery room.  Each patient has a freshly sterilized surgical instrument pack.  Each patient receives an intravenous catheter in the event they will need intra-operative fluids or emergency medication.  All patients under general anesthesia receive constant blood-pressure and pulse monitoring using our state-of-the-art Cardell Veterinary Monitor.

Meet Niki.  Niki is our volumetric fluids auto-infusion pump.  For patients with  dehydration, we use Niki because she/it counts the number of drops per minute and makes the drip go faster or slower as needed.  Thanks to Niki, we can ensure that our patient gets the right volume of fluids at the correct flow rate. 

We use a collimating portable x-ray machine and high speed rare-earth film screens to minimize x-ray exposure to our patients.  Our automatic x-ray processing machine greatly speeds the whole process.  Depending on our schedule, we can often take x-rays at the time of your pet's initial visit and have a diagnosis while you wait.  

We have a walk-on digital scale for most dogs, and an electronic table scale for cats and smaller dogs.

When you call in because your pet is coughing or has an odd rash for example, you will be asked to keep your pet in your car until the doctor or a technician can determine if your pet has an overly contagious disease.  This is how we keep the risks of spreading serious illness between patients to a minimum.  When hospital care is needed for pets with diseases that can be transmitted easily to other pets, they stay in our isolation ward.  Personnel change outerwear on the way into the ward, removing it and disinfecting their hands and arms on the way out.
