Dr. Bissmeyer graduated from Mariposa County High School in 1980 and went to Fresno State to earn her Bachelor degree in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry. She then went to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1989.
Eileen started her career in Mariposa with Dr. Rosebrock and then moved to Alaska to live The Great Northern Adventure. She worked in Wasilla at another All Creatures and came back to Mariposa to deliver twin sons, Lonnie and Jamie, and start their new life with their stepsister, Kristina.
Back home, she worked part time at various vet hospitals and emergency facilities and eventually started her own business in 1995 out of her home. All Creatures evolved from large animal field service, small animal and equine emergency care, to a mixed practice that mainly serves small animals.
Her love of horses takes her far fast on her favorite Arabian gelding, Ace. Other hobbies include playing fiddle, hanging out with her kids, and golfing. Her pets at the moment, include Fiona (the above Chihuahua), Bling (labX), Tootie2 (yard cat), Taz (barn cat), In-n-Out Double Double Motormouth (housecat), and Angel (horse).
Lene has been with All Creatures the longest (10 years). She lives in Mariposa with her husband, Chris, where they share their wonderful home with 3 cats. She loves to garden and feed the wild birds that take refuge on her property. She has 3 grown children and is "Bee-Ma" to 4 awesome grandchildren. She is a certified Jazzercise instructor in Mariposa and has obtained her Black Belt in martial arts. Don't mess with this bookkeeper!
Chris has been with All Creatures for 4 years and is the first person many of you will meet when dealing with us. She was an awesome employee at Raley's in Oakhurst for over a decade and we brought her here where she has continued to serve the public with professionalism and grace.
She lives in Mariposa with her husband, Brian, and their 3 children. She is active in her kid's school and 4-H projects and is an avid horsewoman. She also has a talent for making just about anything out of leather. She loves to ride her mare, Lil, and waterski with her family.
Krissy is a San Joaquin Valley College Veterinary Technician Program graduate who has been with us for 4 years. She is one of our main nurses who looks after your pets while you leave them in our care. She is skilled at what she does and has gained a lot of valuable experience from several area hospitals as well as being Dr. Bissmeyer's "right arm".
She has a Catahoula dog and loves to hunt with her in the foothills. She is often found at the local roping arena on her days off . She is a skilled roper and an avid Destruction Derby driver.
Jen is our newest addition from San Joaquin Valley College Veterinary Technician Program. She just graduated at the top of her class with straight A's and perfect attendance. We are fortunate to have her. She hails from Hollister and has made a home here in Mariposa. She is learning from Krissy about being a veterinary technician and is coming along at an incredible pace. She adores cats and dogs and is often helping foster homeless pets.
Lonnie Bissmeyer - Website Technician
Lonnie is a student at Glacier High School Charter in Oakhurst who is gaining work experience in computers. He manages the website and updates and services our many clinic computers as needed.
